Mark O’Brien’s achievements over the past 12 months have been extraordinary. O’Brien gained selection in the Australian under 23 road cycling team, after taking silver at the National Titles. He then went on to compete in the World Championships in Switzerland, where he finished as the first placed Australian rider in overall 28th place. O’Brien also competed in the Tour of Ireland where he rode against cycling icon Lance Armstrong. On top of all these achievements, O’Brien completed his uni degree, and is now looking at securing an overseas professional contract.
