James was a member of the winning North West Bowls Association Division 1 Pennant side and was selected in the North Wimmera Bowls Association team.  He was a Section winner in the Victorian Under 18 singles and the winner of 2009 A and B Grade Singles for the Warracknabeal Bowling Club.

Oscar won the 12 and under  Victorian Country singles, doubles and mixed championships last month and made the semi finals in the singles at the Australian Junior Tournament (AJT) in Albury and the semi finals in the doubles at the AJT in Mt Gambier.
