Ashley Bolwell wins the Dags Quality Screen Printing and Hip Pocket Workwear Sports Star Of The Month Award for April 2007

Wimmera Clay Target Club Shooter Ashley Bolwell has taken out the Award for April. After competing at the Nationals last month where his performances were outstanding, Ashley has been selected to represent Australia against New Zealand in the Glen Cup in March next year. With a score of 546 out of 550 Ashley was the top placed qualifier for the Glen Cup and he has great hopes of continuing to improve his skills so he can, ‘ do himself and his country proud’.

This year Ashley has had a run of perfect scores – the ultimate for every shooter. In the Australia Day Championships in Bendigo he shot 159/159 in the 25 target points Championship and 89/89 in the double barrel event. He also took out the Mornington Grand Prix 30 tgt single barrel with a score of 33/33 and two events at Callawadda Stawell Clay Target Club on Good Friday shooting 33/33 in the single barrel and 113/113 in the double barrel.
