Bob MacFarline (Lawn Bowls)
Bob McFarline was the runner up in early 2006 in the Royal Victorian Bowls Association Veteran Singles Championships held at Myrtleford. Then the Club Champion at the Minyip Bowls Club, Bob has also taken out the North Wimmera Association Veterans Championship (back to back titles), the North Wimmera 60 and over Championship and the Group 3 Veterans Championship. In the Victorian Veterans Class Bob traveled to Melbourne to contest the State title where he finished a most creditable 8 th. He was also a member of the Group 3 team which played at Corowa for the Victorian Group Championship and as Group 3 60 and over Champion will head to Melbourne next month for the Victorian Championships. His credentials are outstanding and with bowls being one the regions most participated in sport in the region – he is a role model that other bowlers look up to.
