Kerryn Golder (Equestrian)
Kerryn Golder has sucessfully just completed the regional show circuit with her horse ‘Go With Pride’, winning Smartest on Parade at St Arnaud, Kaniva, Jeparit and Dimboola, the Champion Ridden Hack at St Arnaud, Hopetoun and Dimboola, the Champion Ridden Hunter at Bendigo and Hopetoun plus a host of other event wins and placings at Warracknabeal, Rainbow and Nhill. This energetic and dedicated rider spends four days a week perfecting her style and training her horse, who was a thoroughbred racehorse, in the equestrian disciplines. Last year Kerryn improved her standings and this year has taken time off work to ensure she and her horse were in prime condition to contest the local show circuit. Competing in the Victorian Agricultural Shows Association Saddle Horse Championships in January Kerryn was 5th in the rider class and in the top 10 in the Open Saddle Horse event. She also won the OG Pettit Perpetual Trophy for Smartest on Parade at Tyrendarra on Feb 10. She competes in the prestigious Barastoc this coming weekend.
