Sportslink is the new and essential one-stop website for sports clubs and activity providers! Never before has it been so easy to promote a club to new members or to find an activity to join in your area!
The Wimmera Regional Sports Assembly in collaboration with Regional Sports Network Victoria has rolled out the new ‘sportslink’ website state-wide. Sportslink will give sports clubs and recreational groups across Victoria the opportunity to let everyone know who they are and what they are about. It will also provide clubs and groups with support, resources and information to develop and to make their lives easier and their club or group more successful!
Sportslink will be the place that people go to find out what sport, leisure and recreational activities are available in their area, how to get in touch and where to go to get involved! It will be the source of many new members for clubs and groups and a great way to attract more people to local activities.
The new Sportslink database system will give clubs reminders to update their details on the website so that they can be easily contacted by potential members. In the past this has been a crucial factor in clubs missing out on new members with constant changing of administrators meaning that contact details can be out of date just a year down the track!
Sportslink is also a great development for people and organisations who are trying to get in contact with local activity providers. This fantastic new website will make it easy to get involved in a community activity group sooner, which will not only assist in increasing the social and physical health of individuals but also of our local communities as a whole.
Sportslink will work for you!

The Sports Assembly in partnership with the Wimmera Primary Care Partnership (PCP) is very excited about the development of www.sportslink.org.au/wimmera . The site is not just for sporting groups, it provides all clubs and activity groups with an opportunity to have their own web page containing club contact details and a place where activities, events and training details can be advertised. It is also a site where clubs and groups can go to for support, resources and information to assist them in their development.
www.sportslink.org.au/wimmera is also the place where people will turn to for information about available activities, sports, recreation and leisure pursuits ie. – where groups are – what sort of activities are available – which clubs have a social component – what nights are training nights –where the veteran competitions are – and who to ring and where to go. There is no cost involved but plenty of benefits. It will be your chance to let everyone know who you are, where you are and what you’re about. The website will be updated regularly and the information will always be no more than two months old, sometimes significantly less.
Although the registration process has been designed to happen on-line, your club will not be disadvantaged if you don’t have Internet access. Simply contact the Sports Assembly on 5382 4599, the Wimmera PCP on 53621225 to have the hard-copy form sent out to you - making sure your name and signature is included and then post back to the PCP. If your club does have Internet access go to www.sportslink.org.au/wimmera, fill in the form and click submit. Simple. Please contact the Sports Assembly 5382 4599 or email kelly@wrsa.org.au or the Wimmera PCP on 53621225 or email geoff.w@gchc.org.au to answer any questions you might have.
