The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award & The Compass Program are exciting personal development programs geared to the growth of the individual. They offer young people aged between 10-25 years a framework of suggested activities that are challenging and rewarding. The programs are voluntary, non-competitive, and aimed at the individuals’ interests and abilities.
There are four areas of The Award and participants select and undertake one activity for each of Service, Skills, Physical Recreation and Adventurous Journey’s. Through these activities, young people develop self-esteem, confidence, an awareness of the community and a desire to help others. They are also awarded with an Internationally recognised certificate that they can use in their resumes.
